Mr Martin Palmer
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young I spent 20 years working in high-growth entrepreneurial businesses at managerial and director level.
I am passionate about coaching and the results that it provides in terms of fulfilment for the individual or group being coached and in expanding and enhancing their leadership, and the consequent benefits for the organisation.
Coaching Methodology
As a Chartered Account and experienced coach my approach is grounded in both extensive coaching knowledge and experience as well as sound business and financial acumen. My coaching is designed to promote individual growth within a framework of business needs and commercial success.
My style of coaching whilst both rigorous and focussed encourages both a sense of perspective and humour. It is not based on a remedial / deficit model, but assumes that my client is already successful, intelligent and has all the requisite skills, knowledge and expertise to achieve their objectives.
My role as a coach is to identify the ‘interference, in partnership with the client, that is blocking their full potential, and to work with them to eliminate it. This could be summarised as coaching for achievement and excellence.
I hold a Masters Degree in Coaching Psychology, I am an Associate Practitioner of APECS and am applying for accreditation as a Master Coach with APECS.
Specialties include Leadership Development, Business Development, Confidence, Personal Branding / Profile Raising, Career Planning, Presentation Skills, Working Practices, Work / Life Balance and Confidence.
I have extensive coaching experience gained in a business environment over the last 20 years. Current clients include: Bank of America Merrill Lynch, CBRE, Clifford Chance, Irwin Mitchell, Jones Lang LaSalle, Mitsubishi Bank and Turner & Townsend.Â
I moved to France in 2015 but still cover most locations within the UK as well as being able to provide coaching services within Europe and the rest of the world utilising Zoom and telephone.
